Grants : Pink Aid

Pink Aid’s mission is to help underserved women in our communities survive breast cancer treatment with support and dignity and to empower breast cancer survivors to heal and inspire others.

Our grants support programs that provide services including free mammograms, diagnostic testing, wigs, recovery garments, meals, childcare, transportation to treatment and help covering personal expenses for patients undergoing treatment.

Some of the programs we support are established hospital foundations and national non-profits, while others are smaller grass roots organizations. Large or small, they share our goal to help local women survive breast cancer with compassion.

The Founder’s Board of the Pink Aid reviews and evaluates each grant proposal. All applications are confidential and are available only to the Pink Aid Board of Directors and Pink Aid Grants Committee.

Applicants will be notified by email on January 31, 2014 of the decision regarding their proposals. Arrangements for contracts and payment will be made at that time.

Grants will be paid out in Q1 of 2014.

If any grantee or sponsoring institution fails to adhere to the policies and qualifications listed above, the grant is subject to termination.

TERMS

All Pink Aid grant applicants and recipients must have 501c3 certification.

The Pink Aid grant term is one calendar year.

The program must be directly related to assisting breast cancer patients and their families during treatment. Pink does not fund office supplies, printing costs, travel costs, marketing costs, or recruitment costs.

The authorized institutional grant administration representative is required to sign a Grant Agreement on behalf of the program upon accepting the grant.

Grant recipients must submit a brief report documenting how funds are being spent over the course of 2014 by June 30, 2014.

Pink Aid reserves the right to arrange for mutually convenient site visits to help evaluate all grant applications.

Any institution in receipt of a grant will allow members of the Pink Aid to come for a site visit during the grant term.

If an organization comes under federal investigation, Pink Aid has the right to suspend grant funding until the investigation is cleared.

Any publicity associated with the program must acknowledge Pink Aid as a supporter as much as is reasonably possible.
