Glitterati truly lived up to its name — an evening filled with sparkle, shine and compassion!  We were thrilled you were there to celebrate with us Pink Aid’s 15th Anniversary and make it such a huge success! Thank you.

It was an exciting evening as guests enjoyed delicious bites served by staff dressed in glitter from Marcia Selden Catering, a dazzling fashion show by Mitchells and the presentation of our inaugural Pink Partner Award given to John Darvish of Darcars Automotive Group who in 2021 started our national transportation program for patients to travel to and from treatment. We were inspired by our keynote speaker Jill Martin and Honorary Co-Chairs Ali Heger and Kerri Rosenthal who shared their powerful stories and now use their voices to help others.

Jill Martin, TODAY Show contributor and former NY Knicks broadcaster moved us with her honesty and emotion. After discovering she carried the BRCA gene, genetic testing led Jill to an early breast cancer diagnosis which she attests to saving her life. Jill’s message; pay it forward and share your story to help others undergoing a difficult time. be positive.

Our live auction did not disappoint as bidders outbid each other on great trips and the annual favorite; A Year of Shoes which sold twice with record bids! Our Wall of Compassion captured every hand and heart in the room, a true reflection of the love and support that filled the evening. And the sherpas by Jill Martin were sold out in minutes—a perfect symbol of comfort and care embraced by all! Our video a recap of 15 years that showed the depth of what Pink Aid has accomplished in 15 years from programs, volunteers, youth involvement and voices of gratitude from pink purse recipients across the states. Pink Aid has turned 50 states pink and now the work has just begun to build a footprint and funding in those states. The evening’s highlight, our incredible Warriors who strut the Celebration of Life runway with a loved one. They brought down the house with smiles and tears. In fifteen years, 270 Warriors have walked our Connecticut runway!

From humble beginnings to a national organization, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. Fifteen years of compassion — growing, giving, and pushing forward — all made possible because of YOU! Here’s to our amazing Pink Aid family — our supporters, donors, sponsors, and volunteers especially the gala committee and our Co-Chairs, Raquel Kobak and Linda Sharkey. You are the reason we sparkle so brightly each year, spreading compassion near and far.
