Pink Aid Long Island’s Virtual Celebration Packed a Virtual Punch with Appearances by Country Stars “Old Dominion,” Celebrities and More!

Pink Aid Long Island’s Virtual 7 Year Celebration was broadcast Saturday evening 10.10.20 to hundreds of supporters who purchased event links and Party Packages to mark this milestone in small party pods across the country. An amazing line-up of guest hosts including Hoda Kotb, Joan Lunden. Melissa Etheridge, Susie Essman, and even a shout out from Long Island’s very own Billy Joel, were a few of the highlights. A performance by CMA’s 2020 “Group of the Year,” Old Dominion, a peek at the latest in cashmere from Brunello Cucinelli and a prerecorded “Celebration of Life Fashion Show” featuring women recovering from breast cancer, gave the event its emotional core. The show was emceed by Chris and Ali Mitchell from Mitchells in Huntington and sponsored in part by Rechler Philanthropy, Latham & Watkins, Unique Health & Fitness and the Pufahl Family, among others.

Guests received lots of Pink Aid swag to get their parties started including specialty cocktail kits courtesy of Cylinder Vodka and treats from Marcia Selden Catering & Events in Stamford, CT and online auction Items included a trip to Brunello Cucinelli’s Tuscan village, Solomeo, a year of shoes from Mitchells Westport, custom Golden Goose sneakers, golf outings at exclusive courses, and lots of great jewelry, wine, dining experiences and art.

Since our founding in 2011, Pink Aid has donated more than $6.5 million to 47 different programs and hospitals - in all corners of the state and on Long Island. Through its Pink Purse Initiative, Pink Aid provides direct financial assistance to cover essential household expenses like rent and utility bills, babysitting, and transportation to and from treatment. Since many Americans live paycheck-to-paycheck, the current pandemic with its impact on employment is further fueling the financial crisis for families across the country. Pink Aid’s Pink Purse is expanding nationally to meet that increased need.
