1ST ANNUAL LI LUNCHEON & FASHION SHOW

INAUGURAL  LUNCHEON — October 22, 2014

Over 300 women (and a few good men), all warriors in the fight against breast cancer, gathered at Marshs for one of the most electric and emotional events ever to grace Long Island! Pink Aid’s Inaugural Luncheon & Fashion Show proved to be nothing less than magical. Marshs was transformed into a stunning, sophisticated and uplifting pink wonderland, as pink-wigged wait staff served Pink-a-tinis and a gourmet lunch. A beautiful silent auction was perused, while ladies lined up to have the book “Then Came Life,” signed by the infectiously fun and fabulous best-selling author, Geralyn Lucas, the day’s keynote speaker.

On a magnificent stage, guests were treated to a sumptuous “Best of Fall” fashion show by Marshs, followed by the incomparable Geralyn Lucas bringing down the house with her outrageous humor and inspiring personal story. And the pinnacle of the event was the “Celebration of Life Fashion Show,” with fifteen stunning, inspirational Warriors and their escorts bringing the sold-out crowd to its feet, cheering with tears of joy.

The event, which will benefit women in need whom are battling breast cancer in Long Island was a labor of love for a committee of 40+ local superwomen (and one guy, Christopher Mitchell!)… 27 Pink Chairs from a group of fabulous, generous designers… auction items and wonderful donations from a generous and supportive community… Thank you to all who attended, and all that made this happen. We will be able to bring Pink Aid to so many Long Island Warriors, thanks to you!
