Pink Strings for Pink Aid is back! We are thrilled to announce a continuing partnership between the music industry and breast cancer support, which will have a direct impact on underserved breast cancer patients.

DR Strings will donate the proceeds to Pink Aid for every purchase of DR Neon Pink guitar strings. Pink Aid is the only national non-profit organization that provides compassionate support and rapid emergency financial assistance to patients in dire need, including covering the cost of transportation to and from treatment, electricity, groceries, and other basic necessities.

“There is a sound missing in the market,” said Al Dronge, founder of Guild Guitars, to his son Mark. In 1989, Mark founded DR Strings to reintroduce round core strings and provide that missing sound. When a wrap wire is wound around a round core, the string is able to move more naturally when plucked. This compliments the sound of acoustic, electric and bass guitars by providing rich and balanced overtones and a fundamental with great sustain.
